Dropbox has become a very popular way to store notes. The graph above shows that students use Dropbox to lower the risk of losing physical notes and to sync multiple personal devices. Losing notes can be one of the most stressful experiences of student life as most students prefer to study from their personal notes. If these notes are lost, we are forced to rely on another student’s notes and run the risk of misunderstanding their notes. Syncing multiple personal devices is also a vital use of Dropbox. For example, a student who takes notes on his/her tablet at university might want to save all these notes onto his/computer. The simplest way to do this is evidently Dropbox. Students seldom use the app to view their documents online. A possible explanation might be that once all notes have been synced to all personal devices, one can simply view documents on Adobe Reader (for example).
